Mechanic’s Installation Tip: Do not use heavy grease or WD-40 to slide the new grip onto the handlebar, as it will never dry and cause the grip to slip while riding. Instead, spray the inside of the new rubber grip generously with standard alcohol-based hairspray or use a few drops of rubbing alcohol. It will slide on effortlessly and lock solidly into place once it dries completely.
